Service Description
I’ll be running the next fortnightly dream group in the autumn. Group work is a particularly helpful approach to exploring dreams. Because dreams tell us what we don’t already know, I work with dreams in a group differently than when working one-to-one. I’ll begin by using the Haden method, in which we can create a safe space within the group, not disclosing personal associations to each dream. A benefit of this way of working is that the rest of the group get to ‘borrow’ each other’s dreams and can grow from them as if they were their own. As we build more of a relationship with our dreams, we find that we can often make some new connections once we’ve heard others’ projections. But I also introduce a variety of creative approaches within the group, such as dream embodiment, active imagination, and creative approaches to further exploring or distilling a dream. You might wonder, why work with dreams? “Dreams show us […] something about the nature of reality itself, and usually that aspect of reality that we're not entirely seeing accurately or completely accepting.”[1] They show us that we are much more than our ego point of view assumes. As we learn to relate to the ‘Dream Maker’, we begin to tune into richer possibilities for our lives, see where we’re limiting ourselves through the stories we’ve been believing, and meet surprising inner allies. “And thus, we find our way back more deeply to the soul.”[2] Get in touch if you’re interested and I'll let you know when dates are confirmed and it's possible to book. Places are limited - it will be a small group. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about the group, and will share some FAQs, and tips on remembering and recording dreams.
